Belarus stood infront of her wardrobe, unsure of what to wear.

'We're going out tonight, wear something pretty. -Love Norway'

He had sent her the small invitation that morning, not giving her any hints of where they would be going besides the fact that she should wear something warm. She huffed and ran a hand through her hair. "Really, just planning dates out of no where." A flowy navy blue dress that fell to her knees and a nice coat would suffice hopefully, and if not then it's Norway's fault for not helping her prepare.

When he picked her up for their date he held out a blindfold. "Cover your eyes." She raised an eyebrow but took it anyways and tied it around her eyes. He took her to the car and helped her inside before starting the car to the secret destination. During the car ride Belarus asked numerous questions, trying to get him to tell her where they were going. After a while she decided to give up because his lack of response. When they reached their destination he helped her out.

The sounds of water and the slight creaking of wood immediately put her on edge. "Norway, please tell me I'm not standing infront of a boat." He shrugged. "You're not." She frowned and reached up to take off the blindfold only to be stopped. "Just trust me." Belarus huffed in frustration, struggling against him. "I hate the ocean!" Norway rolled his eyes and pulled her onto the boat. "Just calm down Bela." Her legs felt like jelly and she immediately wrapped her arms around him.

"Have I ever told you how much I hate you?" He rolled his eyes and had her sit down. Once he moved away from her, she tore off the blindfold and glared at him. The glare, however, faltered once she took in her surroundings. The table was covered in a white table cloth and a nice meal was laid out, candles were lit all around the boat giving it a nice romantic glow, and the ocean was calm. She looked up at him and opened her mouth to say something, only to have a bouquet handed to her.

Belarus took the flowers and examined them. Primrose, red Roses, and red Carnations. It was a bit of an odd combination, but lovely none the less. "Thank you Norway." She kissed his cheek and he cracked a slight smile. "You're welcome, Bela." He sat down across from her at the table and they both began to eat. They talked about little things and laughed at eachother's odd jokes and stories. Belarus was still a bit jumpy and nervous about being on water but tried not to let it show.

Once they finished eating, Norway turned on the radio and looked at her. "How about a dance, ja?" She hesitated a bit but nodded. "Da, that'd be nice." When she stood up and walked over to him, a wave rocked the boat making her lose her already unsteady balance. He caught her before she could crash into the floor and she swore she could see a slight smirk tug at his lips. Belarus straightened up and frowned at him. "I have the slightest feeling that you did that." Norway shrugged innocently and wrapped an arm around her.

She placed a hand on his shoulder and held his hand. They swayed to the melody of the music until Norway finally asked her a question. "Why are you so afraid of the ocean?" Belarus tensed up a bit but relaxed. "I've been to the ocean twice in my entire life so far. Now and when America took me on a boat. I was furious with him for butting into my relations and wanted to get off as soon as possible. He tried to reason with me but I was too angry. What happened next is still a blur, but somehow I had ended up in the water, sinking to the bottom. The water was so cold, so much colder than the winters I had experienced. It was so dark and I couldn't breathe. By the time America got me out, I had technically died." Her eyes flickered up to see his reaction, his face was blank and his grip around her waist had tightened.

"When I reawoke from my 'death' I couldn't speak for days, or rather, I wouldn't." She paused for a breath and leaned her head against his chest. He let go of her hand wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." Belarus shrugged. "Hush, you didn't know and besides, I'm not as afraid when I'm with you." He laughed a bit and kissed the top of her head. She smiled and kissed him back on the corner of his lips.

"I have one more surprise for you." Belarus raised an eyebrow. "Oh I don't know how much more of your surprises I can take, Norway." He hushed her and leaned his forehead against hers. "I think you'll like this one." Norway muttered something under his breath, making the candles all flicker out, before leading her to the front of the ship where a blanket was spread out on the floor.

"Sit."

She obeyed and looked at him questionably. As she opened her mouth to say something, a flicker of light in the sky caught her eye. The sky lit up with colors of blue, green, and purple. He sat down next to her and smiled a bit at her reaction. Her eyes were turned up to the sky, her mouth opened slightly in awe and her lips curled upwards in an amazed smile. "Like it?"  Belarus chuckled and nodded. "Yes, very impressive Norway."
Their date soon ended and Norway was now dropping her off. She waved to him good bye before entering her home. Right as she entered her house Norway got a call from Denmark.

"What do you want?"

"Sooo, how'd the date go?"

"Fine."

"Only fine? Lemme guess, no kiss?"

He rolled his eyes at Denmark's question, even though it was correct. Belarus had never kissed him on the lips before, but he didn't mind much. "Shut up Denmark." Denmark clicked his tongue from the other line. "Oh come on, you both have been dating for 5 months now, when are you guys gonna kiss?" Norway shook his head. "We are no- oh? She's coming back out."

"What?"

Belarus walked down the steps of her porch to Norway. "Did you forget something Bela?" She nodded and pulled him forward, kissing him roughly and passionately on the lips. Before he could properly respond, she pulled back and smirked at him. "Good night Norway." He blinked a few times, trying to process what she did. By the time he could properly react she had already gone inside. "She kissed me..." Norway smiled and ended his call with Denmark. Oh how he loved that woman~
I was originally going to have a picture with this but then I ruined it by accident ._.
Headcanon for Belarus is that she's afraid of the ocean because of said incident with America and seeing as how she's a landlocked country I think that she'd either be amazed by the sea's beauty and life or terrified of how open and bottomless it is.
Anyways this story was a lot longer than I intended it to be and the flow wasn't that bad, but my endings need work ^^'
Oh and there's a reason why I picked Primrose, red roses and carnations for the bouquet.
Primrose= eternal love
red rose= true love
red carnation= deep love and passion "My heart aches for you"
I thought that would be cute, Norway giving Belarus flowers to make up for his lack of emotion and affection. Though I make him affectionate in my stories...hmm .3. I should work on that...
I hope you all enjoyed~
